Amaryllis - Amaryllis is a monotypic (only one species) genus of plant also known as the Belladonna Lily. The single species, Amaryllis belladonna, is a native of South Africa, particularly the rocky southwest region near the Cape. The botanic name Amaryllis is taken from a shepherdess in Virgil's pastoral "Eclogues," from the Greek (Latin amarysso) meaning "to sparkle."
Amber - Amber is the name for fossil resin or tree sap that is appreciated for its colour. It is used for the manufacture of ornamental objects and jewellery. Although not mineralized, it is sometimes considered a gemstone. Amber is heterogeneous in composition, but consists of several resinous bodies more or less soluble in alcohol, ether and chloroform.
